Technology transfer
SYNERVIA is a consultancy centre specialised in technology transfer. It was created in 2002 by the Ecole Supérieure du Bois, the Ecole Polytechnique of Nantes, the IUT of Saint Nazaire, the IUT of Nantes, the PLI agency (‘Pays de la Loire Innovation’), regional industrialists and professional organisations and supported by the State and the ‘Conseil Régional’.

SYNERVIA aims to enhance collaboration between research laboratories, higher education establishments and companies. By sharing skills and equipment, it can detect, formalise and bring solutions to small and medium sized companies technological problems and thus help them improve their competitivity.

Seven engineers are in charge of organising, negotiating, writing and technically follow the contracts of technological development between SYNERVIA, the companies and the expertise centres involved. Two technology advisers work in close collaboration with the regional Technological Development Network (RDT, ‘Réseau de Développement Technologique’) which gathers the expertise of regional Technological Development Network (RDT, ‘Réseau de Développement Technologique’) which gathers the expertise of regional technology innovators and specialists and which helps companies to choose the resources the most adapted to their needs.

The fields of expertise of SYNERVIA are wood processing, material thermal determination, electronics, electrical engineering, process engineering, industrial computing, high-performance sawing. Contact : Emmanuel Bastet
