Managed by students, this association is run as a small business working on projects for industrialists and the general public. It gives students an insight into business/project management.
The association whilst prioritising essentially engineering projects can also help industrialists improve production layout, develop new materials, test pieces and so on. In this way links with industry are established which can motivate students for their future as managers in the wood industry.
The varied educational backgrounds of the students whether from preparatory classes, HND or two year university programmes, along with the laboratories and specialised machines in the school allow the association members to respond professionally to a multitude of projects such as furniture making ,trophy creation, market studies, computer aided designs and so on.
